Following the Government announcement on Sunday 25 May, we are thrilled to be able to confirm that we have been authorised to open our doors and finally be able to welcome our customers back on Monday 15th June. In doing so the Government have stipulated a number of measures thats shops must put in place before they can open. These have been in place at Emma K Framing for the last two weeks as we had hoped to open on the 1st June. Details of the measures are in the update below of 13.05.20.

The Government, in consultation with industry, has produced guidance to help ensure workplaces are as safe as possible.

Objective: To minimise the contact resulting from visits

to shops.

Actions we have taken at Emma K Framing to keep our customers SAFE:

  1. Defining the number of customers that can reasonably follow 2m social distancing within the shop. Take into account total floorspace as well as likely pinch points and busy areas.
  2. Limiting the number of customers in the store, overall and in any particular congestion areas, for example doorways between outside and inside spaces.
  3. Suspending or reducing customer services that cannot be undertaken without contravening social distancing guidelines.
  4. Encouraging customers to shop alone where possible, unless they need specific assistance.
  5. Reminding customers who are accompanied by children that they are responsible for supervising them at all times and should follow social distancing guidelines.
  6. Looking at how people walk through the shop and how you could adjust this to reduce congestion and contact between customers, for example, queue management or one-way flow, where possible.
  7. Ensuring any changes to entries, exit and queue management take into account reasonable adjustments for those who need them, including disabled shoppers.
  8. Using outside premises for queuing where available and safe.
  9. Having clearly designated positions from which colleagues can provide advice or assistance to customers whilst maintaining social distance.
  10. Providing clear guidance on social distancing and hygiene to people on arrival, for example, signage and visual aids.
  11. Providing written or spoken communication of the latest guidelines to both workers and customers inside and outside the store.
  12. Creating social distancing champions to demonstrate social distancing guidelines to customers, if helpful.
  13. Ensuring latest guidelines are visible in selling and non-selling areas.

In addition upon opening we will be asking customers to kindly make payment at the time of

placing an order and ask that all payments are made by card. Cash should only be used as a last

resort. From Monday 1st April 2020 we will no longer be accepting payment by cheque.

We may be closed but we have not been idle. We have been making sure that as our supply chain slowly starts to offer limited services, that we have been able to order what we need to complete your orders. It is our intention to be ready on day one with your orders ready for collection! and we are 99% there.

We are ready to reopen as soon as the Government give us the green light to do so. We will be ensuring that the shop is able to offer a safe experience for both staff and our customers. With this in mind we are currently undertaking a refit of the shop so that we can put our customers and safety first.

We thank all the front line services and of course our fantastic NHS for the vital service that they have provided during lockdown. We look forward to to seeing  our regular and new customers in the not too distant future. Stay safe, Stay well and See you soon.

With the Prime Ministers announcement on Monday 23rd March at 8.30pm, We are now closed with immediate effect.

We want to emphasise that whilst we have taken all precautions to carry on business as usual we fully understand the seriousness of the situation that the whole country is currently going through and totally understand the governments directive.

We would like to thank all customers for their patience during this incredibly difficult time and we will be back up and running as soon as it is safe and sensible to do so and advised by the Government.

For customers that have new work with us for framing as well as those who have been notified that they have orders ready for collection and have any queries or require information, please use the contact us section at the bottom of this page and I will reply to you shortly.

Please stay safe, look after those close to you and see you again once this is over.

David & Emma.

We have made the extremely tough decision to temporarily close the business in keeping with Government advice on unnecessary travel along with the need for social distancing.

We look forward to reopening shortly and welcoming our loyal and new customers back. In the meantime stay well and look after each other.

The business as it stands today remains fully operational with orders being processed and despatched as efficiently as always. Our supply chain continues to be working through their own local challenges whilst here, at Emma K Framing, we remain focussed on helping and supporting you at all times.

As concerns around the spread of COVID-19 increase and with our government anticipating a change in advice within the next 10-14 days, I want to assure you that we are taking every precaution to ensure we continue to maintain the usual Emma K Framing level of service to you.

With this in mind, from Friday 13th March 2020, we will be kindly asking our customers to complete payment on their orders at the time of order, rather than is currently the case, at the point of collection. We anticipate that this will allow us to limit the number of customers in store at any particular time and to be better prepared to meet our suppliers requests.

Our supply chain remains in good shape and we have not yet experienced any issues as a result of the COVID-19 outbreaks in Asia and Central Europe.

Our suppliers advise us that there are currently  no limitations on the movement of goods despite the implementation of ‘lock downs’ on many people in a number of locations.

We are also keeping ourselves fully briefed on the latest government advice, ensuring that we all take every precaution to reduce and delay the spread of the virus.

We are contingency planning to ensure we can adapt and keep goods flowing freely to you.

We continue to monitor the situation on a daily basis and we will keep you informed of any significant changes.

If you have any further concerns, please let us know and we will be only too happy to help.
