We continue to keep our donation box open. Thank you so much for your help.

Christmas 2021
Along with many other businesses and trades we are also continuing to see shortages in raw materials and longer delivery times, not to mention increases in prices.
With this in mind we are making the decision to bring forward our Guaranteed for Christmas drop off date, to Saturday 4th December. Where mouldings chosen for your frames are found to be out of stock and unobtainable for Christmas, we will both inform you and work with you to provide a suitable replacement that ensures your order is ready for collection before Christmas.
Our opening times for the Christmas and New period are as follows:
Monday 20th - Wednesday 22nd December 10:00 - 16:00
Thursday 23rd 09:00 -13:00
Friday 24th December - Monday 3rd December Closed
Tuesday 4th - Saturday 8th Normal hours.
Thank you for your continued support and custom, we wish you all good health and our very best wishes for Christmas and the coming year.

We finally have the news that we have been waiting for, from Monday 12th April (10:00) we are back in business and can open our doors to our customers again. Some things have changed and hopefully improved since we were last open. We have deorated the shop, we have addressed the counter issue, which for some of our customers was just too high. we have increased the space inside the shop to allow three customers at a time to enter. We still offer hand sanitiser stations and ask that customers make use of these, especially when handling framing chevrons or purchasing cards. We have introduced a new card payment system which means we no longer need to touch the card reader or to pass it back and forth to our customers making it far safer. We still ask customers where possible to pay by card and where appropriate this will be contactless.
We continue to be asked if we expect to be busy when we re-open? based on re-opening after the previous lockdowns we have found that we have seen an increase in orders from the start. In addition we have a supply chain that also needs to get its businesses back up to speed and staff back in etc where they have been furloughed. We will always aim to complete customers orders in order of receipt and as soon as we can. I would expect our completion times, based on experience, to take a little longer than usual until things return to normal. Please remember that all of our orders are hand made and bespoke to you.

With the announcement from Government on the 22nd February, we are hopeful that we will
be able to re-open our doors on the 12th April. We fully understand and support the need to remain vigilant, to follow the given guidelines and drive this virus down.
We are currently undertaking works at the shop so that we are ready to bounce back when we can with a brighter fresher shop that still offers all the protections against covid that our customers have come to accept and appreciate.
Once our works are complete we will be in touch with our customers that have orders with us that are ready for collection and have been paid for to offer our Call and Collect service. We will update this page as soon as we have dates available.
Thank you for the consistent messages of support that we continue to receive.
Thank you. Stay safe and see you again shortly.

Following last nights decision by the Government to place England into National Lockdown we continue to remain temporarily closed until further notice.
We continue to work on orders that were received in December but were not required until after Christmas. These will be held securely for customers until we are able to re-open.
I will add to this new page as and when we have any further information.
Thank you. Stay safe and see you again shortly.

As you will be aware, the Government has announced a new
Tier 4 national lockdown in Suffolk and additional areas from 26th December until further notice. We must therefore again close our doors.
To you our customers, we say thank you. Thank you for shopping with us and we promise to we will continue to get orders that are currently with us completed. In the meantime we wish you all a very pleasant Christmas and peace and good health for the coming year.
Thank you. Stay safe and see you again shortly.

We sincerely hope that we have just come through our last lockdown! We are back tomorrow Wednesday 2nd December from 10am. Additionally this week we are open on Thursday.
As you can probably appreciate we have lost a number of weeks in the run up to Christmas when we would have been starting and returning orders for Christmas. With only three weeks left we would ask customers who really don't need their orders for Christmas to let us know, we can then undertake their orders in January when we return, allowing us to complete the Christmas work on time.
Whilst the lockdown has ended, we are now in tier 2 and will continue to ensure that the shop is COVID 19 safe both for customers and staff. We would therefore ask that customers continue to wear a face covering, remain outside until the 2 person capacity is available, use hand sanitiser from the points provided, especially when purchasing and touching stock and materials. We kindly request that payment is made at the time of placing your order and that where possible this is by card payment and ideally contactless where this allows.
Finally we would like to thank all of our customers for their messages of support and kindeness through this challenging year. We look forward to welcoming you all back tomorrow and thank you again for supporting local independent businesses and ask that you stay safe and well and enjoy the Christmas season.

Following the Press Briefing from the Prime Minister last night, we are thrilled to be able to confirm this morning that we will be open again from next Wednesday 2 December from 09:00.
For the past three weeks we have been working daily to complete orders that came in during October and the early part of November. We have been able to operate a Call & Collect service to our customers that provides a convenient day and time for collection. This service is ongoing and will continue until we reopen.
Since we were able to reopen following the first lockdown in March, we have done everything we can to ensure that we provide a Covid safe business. This has included our 2 at a time entry policy, providing sanitiser points and ensuring that contact is limited as much a possible by working behind a screen at the counter. All of these measures will continue to ensure that we provide our customers and staff with a safe retail experience.
Thank you to all our customers who have continued to shop local and support us and other high street retailers through this really difficult and challenging year.
Lets continue to stay safe, control the virus and look forward to a brighter, healthier 2021.
4/11/20
As you will be aware, the Government has announced a new
4-week national lockdown in England, from this Thursday until Wednesday December 2nd.
So from Wednesday 4th November we must again close our doors.
To you our customers, we say thank you. Thank you for shopping with us and we promise to we will continue to get orders that are currently with us completed and returned whilst keeping both you and us safe. I will be outlining our call and collect service via this page very shortly to ensure that as soon as our customer's orders are completed we can arrange for collection.
Thank you. Stay safe and see you again shortly.

It has been great to be back and open again and we thank you for your patience as you get used to the new layout and arrangements in store.
Many of you have helped us celebrate both our 20th year in Saxmundham and having been able to reopen this week with our 20% off offer* on framing orders. There is still chance to grab a bargain as this offer closes on Saturday 20th June.
Our current turn around time is between three to four weeks, this is allowing for the volume of work that we have received this week but also as we, along with our suppliers and couriers come back up to speed. Again we thank you for your patience.
Please don't forget that we still have our wonderful selection of greeting cards for all occasions with over 200 designs and many new cards for the 2020 season.
It only remains to say that I have been overwhelmed by the loyalty and kindness so many of you have shown, and hugely appreciate your support and understanding during this challenging time.
Please continue to stay safe and stay well.
(*terms and conditions apply and are available upon request. offer ends 20/6/20)

We are thrilled to be back on Monday at 09:00. Our hours have not changed that much, we will be closing at 4pm instead of 5pm.
Whilst we are able to open we recognise not all of our highstreet shops can for the time being, but we looking forward to seeing them again soon.
Likewise our suppliers and courier companies are starting to return too. I think it is reasonable to expect that it will take a little while for us to all be up to speed as we knew prior to Covid -19. We would therefore ask our customers to bear with us and we will ensure that all orders placed are completed and returned as quickly as possible.
As you may have seen below there are some changes that we have had to make to our business to ensure that it can run safely both for our customers and staff. We have therefore restricted access to two at a time. We ask that one member per household enters unless young children are present or customers requiring assistance.
Hand sanitiser is available on entry and at the counter, this is available for everyone but must be used by customers that are looking to purchase greeting cards and where repeat product contact is likely.
In order to keep everyone as safe as possible we ask that payment is made at the time of order for framing and all payments, where possible, are made by card, preferably contactless payment. Cash should be used as a last resort and from the 1st April 2020 we no longer accept payment by cheque.
We look forward to seeing you shortly.

Following the Government announcement on Sunday 25 May, we are thrilled to be able to confirm that we have been authorised to open our doors and finally be able to welcome our customers back on Monday 15th June. In doing so the Government have stipulated a number of measures thats shops must put in place before they can open. These have been in place at Emma K Framing for the last two weeks as we had hoped to open on the 1st June. Details of the measures are in the update below of 13.05.20.

The Government, in consultation with industry, has produced guidance to help ensure workplaces are as safe as possible.
Objective: To minimise the contact resulting from visits
to shops.
Actions we have taken at Emma K Framing to keep our customers SAFE:
In addition upon opening we will be asking customers to kindly make payment at the time of
placing an order and ask that all payments are made by card. Cash should only be used as a last
resort. From Monday 1st April 2020 we will no longer be accepting payment by cheque.

We may be closed but we have not been idle. We have been making sure that as our supply chain slowly starts to offer limited services, that we have been able to order what we need to complete your orders. It is our intention to be ready on day one with your orders ready for collection! and we are 99% there.
We are ready to reopen as soon as the Government give us the green light to do so. We will be ensuring that the shop is able to offer a safe experience for both staff and our customers. With this in mind we are currently undertaking a refit of the shop so that we can put our customers and safety first.
We thank all the front line services and of course our fantastic NHS for the vital service that they have provided during lockdown. We look forward to to seeing our regular and new customers in the not too distant future. Stay safe, Stay well and See you soon.
24/3/20
With the Prime Ministers announcement on Monday 23rd March at 8.30pm, We are now closed with immediate effect.
We want to emphasise that whilst we have taken all precautions to carry on business as usual we fully understand the seriousness of the situation that the whole country is currently going through and totally understand the governments directive.
We would like to thank all customers for their patience during this incredibly difficult time and we will be back up and running as soon as it is safe and sensible to do so and advised by the Government.
For customers that have new work with us for framing as well as those who have been notified that they have orders ready for collection and have any queries or require information, please use the contact us section at the bottom of this page and I will reply to you shortly.
Please stay safe, look after those close to you and see you again once this is over.
David & Emma.
23/3/20
We have made the extremely tough decision to temporarily close the business in keeping with Government advice on unnecessary travel along with the need for social distancing.
We look forward to reopening shortly and welcoming our loyal and new customers back. In the meantime stay well and look after each other.
21/3/20
The business as it stands today remains fully operational with orders being processed and despatched as efficiently as always. Our supply chain continues to be working through their own local challenges whilst here, at Emma K Framing, we remain focussed on helping and supporting you at all times.
15/3/20
As concerns around the spread of COVID-19 increase and with our government anticipating a change in advice within the next 10-14 days, I want to assure you that we are taking every precaution to ensure we continue to maintain the usual Emma K Framing level of service to you.
With this in mind, from Friday 13th March 2020, we will be kindly asking our customers to complete payment on their orders at the time of order, rather than is currently the case, at the point of collection. We anticipate that this will allow us to limit the number of customers in store at any particular time and to be better prepared to meet our suppliers requests.
Our supply chain remains in good shape and we have not yet experienced any issues as a result of the COVID-19 outbreaks in Asia and Central Europe.
Our suppliers advise us that there are currently no limitations on the movement of goods despite the implementation of ‘lock downs’ on many people in a number of locations.
We are also keeping ourselves fully briefed on the latest government advice, ensuring that we all take every precaution to reduce and delay the spread of the virus.
We are contingency planning to ensure we can adapt and keep goods flowing freely to you.
We continue to monitor the situation on a daily basis and we will keep you informed of any significant changes.
If you have any further concerns, please let us know and we will be only too happy to help.
